| The Story of Drink for a Cure |
|
Drink for a Cure originated in Chicago, IL, when nine siblings decided to hold a yearly fundraiser to help raise awareness for Marfan syndrome in memory of their brother, Christian Banke, who died from complications of Marfan syndrome. Five years later, the annual event continues to grow. Iowa is the second state to host a Drink for a Cure benefit for the Marfan syndrome community. The Heart of Iowa Chapter-NMF hopes to raise $10,000 at this event. |

| How your Money Helps |

Proceeds from Drink for a Cure will go towards research and to the Heart of Iowa Chapter-NMF scholarship fund to assist in sending Iowa families to the NMF National Conference. For many attendees, this conference represents their first opportunity to access comprehensive information and medical treatment, as well as the ability to network with others affected by Marfan syndrome. |
